I would like to make some sort of ork vehicle for my sister out of scratch. what are some of the things it must have in order to be used on a table? any body got an idea of how to go about it. i got crap for asking people to post pictures on a thread before but. . . can any one post some pictures of some if they have any?

Well, to scratchbuild one you'll probably need vehicle bitz like wheels and such, or a suitable model or toy car to build off of. You'll also need plasticard if you really want to make stuff from scratch.

What sort of guns would it need? and what rules would i use for it?

Depends on what you want it to counts as. If you're just taking a pickup truck toy and lumping crap on it, you might as well use it as an Ork Trukk. Look in the codex and see what best approximates what you think of building. For example, if you want to make a dune buggy with a machine gun on it, just make it a Warbuggy.

Did you ask in the modeling section? If so thats pretty weird not getting any takers wanting to show off their Ork vehicles. Id say to start off, get the measurements of the type of vehicle your wanting to build. That way you can build whatever you want, as long as its close to the measurements.

As for what weapons it can carry, that's covered in the Ork Codex. It's generally frowned upon to list stats, options, and points straight out of the codex. Most people don't want to get Dakka-Dakka in trouble.

Does your sister have a codex? You should take a quick look at it if she does.

Don't be intimidated by the paint jobs. I've been painting miniatures for over 10 years and these guys still blow my meager skills away.
