K Basically i was on website purchasing a strike force.
I received one less unit then was described , but the strike force been the last box , they removed it off the website after i purchased the last one.

How do i ask them about it if i cant show them the original description anymore? Now the content in my order just says "strike force"

Well i would phone the manufacturer rather than the second hand seller. I am under the assumption that you bought it from someplace like warstore or whatever. If you bought it off of the manufacturers website well then they should be able to fix it pretty quick if you give them a ring.

Definitely start with GW if the box came sealed; you should be able to find product/serial codes on or inside the box for reference.

If that doesn't yield the desired results, go ahead and have a chat with whoever sold it to you. They know what they supposedly sold you and, if they're honest, they should have it on record.

Basically the store GCM ( canadian store ) was selling a SM strike force box.
it listed the content to contain a razor back in it along with other items.

I went to GW site , the strike force doesnt exist ( im guessing it came out back when SM codex was released )

So do i talk with GW for content , or to the GCM seller that they listed wrong content?

Strikeforce was released with Medusa campaign way back when.

I'm pretty sure that it came with a Land Raider and a Terminator Squad though.

No that sounds too different ,
what i need to know is , the store list it as including a Razorback.

but i checked the content it doesnt have one.

Is the store responsible for the wrong discription or not.

Or is it GW's responsbility.

Or is it Mine.

For example , i think this picture = what the store meant to sell :

But it listed having a razor back as well , which lead me to think they had it confused with:

Thus Who is responsible for the wrong content? Am i allowed to ask them to give me what they listed in the content?

It's entirely possible that the box was supposed to include the parts for a Razorback.

I don't have my WDs or any info from back then(which is odd, because I have stashes of things prior and after) so can't confirm. But I doubt they'll replace missing bits given how long the "deals" have been out of being sold. Y'never know though, call GW and ask. If they tell you they can't do anything, then raise a stink with the reseller.

Thats the hard part.

The strike force was the last one left on the website.
To be specific they list it something like this:

Space Marine Strike Force
20 Space Marines
2 Rhino
1 Razor Back
1 Land Raider
1 Vindi
1 Whirl Wind
1 Command Squad
1 Commander

But the thing i receive doesnt have razor back , which i dont think is fair , sort of false advertisement?
And upon selling the last one , they removed it from the website , now i cant even go back and point to them they said there was a razorback in it

Did Games Workshop originally advertise it as a Razorback or did the reseller?

Because if the reseller did, then GW's not responsible for you buying the "wrong" product due to an inaccuracy in the description from the reseller. It's what kept the people who were selling "Playstation 3/Xbox 360/Nintendo Wii Boxes!" and getting paid thousands for them safe from the customers coming after them.

Im pretty sure it was the reseller making the mistake in the ad.

The only reason i brought up asking if GW is responsible was someone suggested it earlier in the thread.

So are the reseller responsible to make it right? or not?

Yes the reseller is GCM , just like the Warstore.

If it was a boxed set with missing components then GW will probably help you out even after a while after they have ceased to sell said box. If you literally have the box then I would suggest that it will be pretty easy to see if there is something missing and get on to GW. If it is a set of kits put together by GCM then you will have to contact the retailer.

If however GCM have listed the components incorrectly then I would suggest that it is a case that you can keep the goods at the price purchased or return them for a refund i.e. "sorry we made a mistake with the listing but that is the right price for that box".

The retailer is responsible for the goods listed, the fact that GW will resolve problems without recourse to a store is very nice of them but not what manufacturers [of anything] usually do. They will usually ask you to contact the retailer in the first instance.

GW certainly know what was supposed to be in their boxed sets even though they may now be out of print.

Contact them first and ask for a contents list.

Under normals English/Canadian/US contract law, the person who sold the goods is responsible for any problem with them.

If their description did not accurately describe the goods sold you would be due a refund or replacement at your option.

GW are usually super good at helping customers even when a faulty kit was sold by another retailer, so if the people who sold you the kit won't make good any missing bits you can probably get them from GW.

The main thing is you need to know what was supposed to be in the box.

What does the box say?

Does it list a razorback? If so, then you should contact GW.

Does it not list a razorback? then you should contact the store.
