Basic rule, If its metal-Pin it!
Yes it does add extra work, but its worth it in the long run. Superglue can become brittle over time.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light,and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

so, why ask in the first place? I would heartily recommend pinning anything you're not sure about. especially metal.

also spell check and punctuation are your friends.. and if not yours, then certainly ours. I've grown quite fond of it.

Can someone link me to a good How-To for pinning. I have some metal models I've been meaning to try it on... but have no idea if there is a "right" way to do it. (I checked articles and the closest thing I saw was magnets, I apologize if I just didn't look hard enough).

Have fun repeatedly repainting your broken metal arms. Seriously, pin them. The 10 minutes it will take to pin them will save you a lot of headaches in the future. Also, proper spelling and punctuation would be appreciated - I shouldn't have to read over your post 2-3 times just to understand what you're saying.

@ciderjack - Pinning isn't very hard. You just need a pin vice and some paperclips. Drill a hole in one spot where you're going to have a pin. Cut a length of paperclip and fit it in the hole. Put a dab of paint on the end that isn't in the hole. Press that against where you want the piece to go, and it will leave a dab of paint. For example, you would drill a hole on the inside of a Marine's arm, put a paperclip in it, and press that bit against the torso like you were trying to fit it on. Once the other side of the join is marked by the dab of paint, drill a corresponding hole. Glue the pin into one hole and let it dry. Then you just put glue on the join area and the pin, stick it on, and you're good to go!

It's a little obtuse to describe, but it becomes second nature pretty quickly. However, I made the mistake of buying an Iron Warriors army where I have to pin every single guy, as they have metal torsos and heads. Se la vie.
