Howdy friends!
Awhile ago I converted parts of chaos possessed marines and the terminator lord, along with some spawn bits and green stuff, to make what was originally supposed to be a simple lord, probably in terminator armor. He's slightly larger than a terminator and I modeled him on a scenic 40mm base.
Now, coming to my army list, I want to use him as a Daemon Prince instead. The model is easily 'possessed' enough to be a daemon prince, and he IS mounted on a 40mm base which is what the official
DP comes on, the only thing is that he really just isn't as big, he's about half way between a terminator and a
DP. This obviously comes off more as a 'modelling for an advantage' type situation where it appears I'm trying to get away using a smaller figure for cover saves.
While there isn't any
RAW forbidding modeling to an advantage, most
FLGS and Tournies have rules that forbid it. Do you think I could get away with using him as a
DP if I simply defined a height equal to half the usual
DP and said he had to be covered up to there? Or do you think I should add some height to the model by putting some more scenery beneath him, or other such adaptations?
Any suggestions on how these kinds of problems have been solved at tournaments or
FLGS before would be great! With the exception of tales of using an empty toilet roll to represent your
DP
