You're in the Painting & Modelling section. Ask elsewhere for gameplay evaluation, though in short, I reckon they're useful.

Model wise, I'd say it's an excellent buy - nice, big kit, well engineered. Definitely not a starter's kit - it'll help massively if you've built a few tanks and/or aircraft models before. Some tricky bits in the construction and cleanup, so don't rush it, and do test fit. A lot. Once you've done one though, you'll know the tricks and the next will be easier.

It's simple enough to leave the centre console removable (don't glue it, or the wing / engine assembly) which makes for an easy 'dreadnought' drop pod. I've also seen some nice conversions which double up two of the doors (removing two of the wings) which look quite cool.
