Spur of the moment game, i ran 2k vs 2 guys each with 1 k one had necrons one hads nids.

First and foremost I must mention I am not your normal ork player, my lists are always wonky, but make one hell of a showing We rolled off got annihilation standard set up.
I took my orks to the field and was set up in about 30 seconds... you heard me thirty seconds. I stuck my Big mek with SAG in a tower, Battlewagon dead center of my area, two deff dreads along side the hull and two units of 3 killa kans spreading out from there. Thats it, i was done... My opponents looked on in amazement since we had decided to keep our lists to ourselves for set up.

What they didnt know, is that there was a mek with KFF in the wagon, with a unit of burnas, I had kommandos with snikrot in reserve with a full group of vulchaboyz and 2 units of three deff koptas running with TLR.

Turn one started normal enough, moved all my walkers ten straight ahead towards the tyranids, i figured my KFF could handle the shots from the necrons. Moved the BWGN 7 inches and fired its kannon in frag mode, ran all the walkers making sure to keep them within 6 inches of the BWGN, launched my SAG nothing spectacular.

He went, and ran a hive tyrant and a morlock looking shooty giant bug? not sure of name at me, along with all his gaunts and gargssurrounding a zoanthrope, i whethered their fire just fine taking only 1 glance on a deff dread the shook it.

Turn two things got interesting, i got my reserves roll for the koptas and vulchas, vulchas deepstriked right next to the big shooty bug, choppas occupied the necron's scarabs. In retrospect a big shoota might have better and a few bombs, since no vehicles were on the board, but i made do. The vulchas attacked and wrecked the shooty bug, killing it and suffering 1 death from assault and 2 from the bug. consolidated far enough away they could only be assaulted by gargs.

Their turn two the hive tyrant hit a deff dread and they went at it, to the dismay of my mek watching his dredd fall away in combat wrecked, and his stupid zoanthrope lanced my wagon killing 9 of the burnas inside, really bad rolling for me, good for him. and his garoyles assaulted losing horribly and dying off but not before removing several more vulchas.

From this point on it became a knuckle down dragout battle og his ive tyrant systematically taking out my meks while my choppas kommandos and few remaining vulchas tore through the necrons, at the end of round 6 we ended. both sides had 7 kill points so we went to victory points, and I won, but only by a mere 52, I have never had such a fun, close battle before, and I heave learned to respect the hive tyrant, who I have to deem MVP of the game, he ate 5 killa kans, 1 deff dread, 1 big mek and a burna... i dealt five wounds to it but it was still standing at end of game. My hat is off to you, o'mighty hive tyrant, next time, the SAG is pointing your way!

turn three my other choppas and kommandos came in and began there assault into the necrons, while my KFF ran behind the other deff dread for cover,

W/D/L/ A(a= Annihilated beyond doubt)

Orks =44/2/9/2 15k+ pts (assembled/broken)
Black Templar= 4/1/2/1 3k 2k pts (assembled)
