So figured I'd start a Daemons army from scratch. This army is a amalgamation of Stelek's "Competitive Daemons", my own thoughts on the dex, and other Daemon opponents I've faced. As always, comments/critiques are welcome...

There is the normal poor anti tank problem, as for all daemons. Good luck.

Get yourself a Prince with all the fun Tzeentch stuff and you got yourself something that can deal with tanks. Plus you can turn stuff into daemons!

While I like the idea of Boon Of Mutation, it's not worth 30pts for a weapon with a 6" range, especially on an already overpriced DP.

12 fiends of slaneesh, is a lot of reliable anti-tank.

As for the list have flesh hounds worked well for you Ancientsociety? Mine always deepstrike to far away or get shot to pieces before they can really make a difference.

I think the plaguebearers are solid. However is daemonic gaze on the nurgle DP a good use of points? I think aura of decay would be much better for anti-horde purposes.

Still haven't played it yet, this is a completely new army for me.

Personally, I just think Hounds are the most economical FA choice for Daemons. Mostly, I'm putting them out to put pressure on my opponent. It's either shoot the Hounds, the Fiends, or the Slaanesh Chariot since their combined threat range is so long. That and they cost about $25 for 10 vs. the $100+ I'd pay for 10 Seekers
