After seeing the end of Dawn Of War:Chaos Rising I based my chaos marine army on Renegade Blood Ravens . Do yous think I should change their names and if so what??

What? Don't play them as Chaos Marines, if they're renegades, just use the normal SM codex. It makes sense.

I don't think they'd change their name. The fallen Blood Ravens seem to be pretty crafty, and infiltrate the ranks of the loyalist Blood Ravens.

I would use the loyalist rules. It makes more sense fluff wise (as Bloodravens use modern tech and not old tech like Chaos) and gameplay wise, gives you access to all the shiny SM toys. Most of the Chaos specific stuff in the CSM book, Bloodravens wouldn't make use of anyway and using the book would be more loss than profit.
In terms of the name change, they would probably still use the name Blood Ravens in an attempt to corrupt the entire chapter to chaos. In any case, most of the Chaos Legions and renegade chapters still retained their orginal names.

Thanks guys  I'll try to get some pics up. Automatically Appended Next Post: Just thought of a background so I could use CSM codex. It is mentioned in the Blood Ravens:Ominibus that a lot of blood ravens history was missing so I'm going to base my army as though the Inquistion deleted their history due to a a battle company which turned renegade. What do you guys think? Automatically Appended Next Post: Pics are on my profile
