I like the scheme you have going, they will look awesome when finished.

"We shall purge the Maiden Worlds of all who dare try to invade and infect our sacred worlds of salvation" - King Yvenaurael of the Lileath-Aean Exodites.

Listen to "The Receiving End Of Sirens" they are GREAT

That's some very nice painting. What is the paint you are using?

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

I've thought about using this kind of paint before but was never sure if it would be worth what I'd pay for, but after seeing these I'm definatly considering it again, as to the skin carapace match, it locks good, going with a metalic collor for the carapace make the fading paint on the skin shine a bit more, as to the talons I'd either stick with the metalic gold or use another metalic color

Haha, i was a bit worried when i saw the first picture, especially about the carapace, but after scrolling down and seeing the last couple of pics, i am pleasantly suprised.

It seems to me that many people, with the release of the new nid book, are trying out iridescent/pearlescent color schemes. This is the first that i have seen, however, that uses the iridescence on the 'flesh' rather than the carapace. interesting idea. id love to see them in person. Photos just don't do that sort of paint any justice

Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.

Inboud...

The new skin works well, but I think the carpace would work better as a bone colour, rather than the brawn you've got going there.

acctualy I like the idea of a metalic carapace it both meshes with and contradicts the skin

For the paint to show up properly it is better to take the pictures outside in proper daylight, and not under manufactured light. As with my colour flip 'nids the indoor pics compared to the outdoor pics of my Swarmlord, in my gallery, are nowhere near as good at showing the paints effects. Looks good, and I really like the novel use of the flip on the skin rather than the carapace.

I look forward to seeing some more pics.

Looks great! The dark red fleshy colour makes it seem nice and slimy/vivisected, like it just crawled out of a hive ship's ooze.
