Around Christmas, my girlfriend got me Canis Wolfborn. I just now finished painting the guy, and I've got him here to show you all!

This model was actually pretty fun to paint. There's like 3 layers of drybrushing on the fur that was fun, and I got to mix my own pinks for the tongue and gums. Personally I think the eyeball on Fangir is the best eye I've ever painted. The claws on Canis are also my first foray into blending, and I think they came out pretty damn good. Definitely going to do more blending when I get to painting my old school Crimson Fists. Tell me what you think, and if you have a Canis, feel free to post him too!

The drawn picture in the last picture (with you riding a wolf) is definitely the coolest part of this group of pictures.
But about the model. It certainly is nicely painted, but for some reason, I think the Canis needs something more. The wolf is very nicely done.

Win/Draw/Lost statics
Space Orks: 11/1/1
Space Marines: 10/2/5
Lizardmen: 8/2/3
High Elves: 13/2/2 and one tournament victory!

Over all , its a good paint job.

But i think there are a few tiny things that can be done different

ATM the face is abit red , almost like he is sun burnt.
The pink flesh inside the wolve's mouth would probably look sharper with some red wash.

Duly noted! Hopefully I can pick up some red wash next time I go to the hobby shop.

I want to see animation featuring Canis Wolfbutt, who needs a beard mind you.

Good job on the paint. Seeing your work, I feel like the dude is less ridiculous than I first imagined.

I intentionally went for a more understated paint scheme, even if Canis himself is a bit bling-y.

@Luna - I'll see how sepia works over red flesh - I know Devlan Mud over red gives a nice velvety texture.
