Sometimes i remove the harlequins, vehicle upgrades and change out eldrad for a farseer if i want to play 1500. I've been winning just about as much as i've been losing so i wanted to see what you guys thought.

First off, your HQs rule. Those are seriously the two best Eldar HQs easily.

I think if your going to be paying for Transports with everything, your Wrathguard could be spent on something stronger, with more numbers. I know it looks like your trying to use that squad to keep your Wraithlords alive and active but fielding a crap ton of Guardians with a Warlock works just as well, it'll cover anybody hiding behind your wall of bodies as well. Nothing wrong with a big squad on foot, next to an Avatar.

All of your Bright Lances are a little ridiculous. I would personally put Scatter Lasers on the Dire Avengers transports. good str and high rate of fire = throwing more dice at the enemy. Anyways you don't need 6 bright lances however your going to do it.

I really like Striking Scorpions if your looking for a stronger more resilient unit to protect other units behind it. Striking Scorpions typically do much better than Wraithguard, and are cheaper still have 3+ armor save, it's almost a MEQ, You might be able to infiltrate two units of Striking Scorpions with the power claw thing instead of taking that guard squad. Or you could just field more Dire Avengers.

You're list looks pretty good, but I've always been iffy on Harlies, and wraithguard. They don't seem to fit with your HQs very well. Avatar needs decent units around him to give fearless and so he doesn't get eaten by power fists or CC or something.

Eldrad needs a full two Dire Avenger squads, or more, to fortune or guide. Then a designated target to doom.

Have you ever thought about dropping Bladestorm for the shimmershield? It helps so much when your Dire Avengers get eaten by CC, anyways there's not very many situations where you want to give up your next shooting phase completely with all of your units. Considering your DA's are the only ranged units you have.

The Wraithlords I assume your going to be playing a very defensive position, holding avatar, and melee units in front. with Eldrad and DA's in the back?

Eldar are really awesome lists, but they're very hard to play against. And they're almost harder to play as sometimes. You'll have to play a few and learn what really helps you the most, Eldrad is such a great character to form tactical campaigns around, he's a giant F you to all enemy psykers as well heh.

Things could go really well, or you could get swamped by the oncoming horde of enemy.

at 2000 points I would say nearly every space marine and MEQ player will have, at the very least, 30 units in power armor to say the least, + vehicles and weaponry. With your 29 units finding a way to combat armies that will consistently be way larger, and way more armored, than yours will be something you'll have to figure out. Good luck!!!!

Behind you

You know if you are really new,you should start with 1000pt games first, and then you get good at it,move on to 1500pt,2k is one of the final stages you can get into
Cuz it is very hard, even in normal games

My thoughts

To die knowing that your task is done

Here's some pointers for you:

Falcon: Lots of points in one basket here. your probably noticing the tank is taking a lot of hate from enemy firepower, which when the falcon takes hits it will usually at a minimum be stunned which is counter productive to it's mission of being a Gunboat with the perk of being a transport. If your dead set on taking a Falcon then take it with 5 Dire Avengers and keep it at range popping shots at armor. At that point it is a scoring unit as well. Star engines here, not a fan, you want those anti-armor shots going.

Harliquins: 6 Harlies, while good, your probably noticing don't have the umph to take out harder targets in numbers. Take a 10 man or leave them at home. Borrow a serpent from another unit (like the 5 DA going in the falcon) or take a Shadowseer and foot them.

Wraithguard: I wanted so badly to make this config work. They are tough as nails against shooting, but you have probably noticed at this point that a single powerfist or powerklaw gets in there and kiss the squad goodbye. Honestly take 5 fire dragons, they get the same job done better and cheaper.

DA Bladestorm: Ignore the PW/SS suggestion above. DA have no business at all in close combat and anything but IG they will get their face eaten off even with PW/SS and Defend. Remember for bladestorm to be truly effective you need doom on the target and guide on your unit. Versus MEQ you'll have mediorce results, but against some choice units it is a god sent.

Wraithlords At this point your probably noticing that the solo Brightlance either does great or makes a massive failcake all game. Statistically it will be the later of the two. Think hard about what you want these to do in your army, sit back and gunbase or get in CC? If gunbasing give them Bright lance and Missile Launcher to be more effective. If CC take just the sword to keep them cheap and run in shooting phases to gain more ground.

Serpents: Your configurations seems to be a bit off one Serpent options. keep your Anti-tank on your serpents that you'll be more defensive with and your close range guns on things your going to shove down your opponent's throat. Also, think about what is going to get the most hate. People fear Wraithguard, so that serpent is likely to take heavy fire to get them out on foot. Take a cheap close range option, so if you lose your shooting capabilities your not losing a bunch of points.

List composition overall you have a lot of expensive upgrades all over the place and are using some expensive units. You have a slow foot element and a bunch of fast tanks, but you have a decent balance of both. Sticking Eldrad with a 10 pack of harlies w/ seer and walking them up the field behind your wrailthlords/Avatar you will get the maximum benefit out of those units. Personally I would suggest just the sword on the lords, move/run the avatar and lords up the field decently close and use Eldrad and the Shadowseer to keep wraithsight at bay.

Wall of text complete, congrats if you made it through it.

Those are much better tips of input than mine.

I only offered the PW/SS just because I goofed and bladestormed "too early"? the two times I've used my friends Eldar. And I messed myself up bad by having to reload the next turn. And the SS just helps them live a little longer if they ever do get CC'ed, which of course is not an ideal situation.

I meant to say give the exarch defend actually, keeping that assault 4 gun on the exarch is pretty awesome. I 100% agree with just keeping bladestorm though, it's too amazing and useful with a doomed target.

Listen more to BlueDagger, his advice took a lot more ground. Mine was just random tidbits.

From only two games of experience using an Eldar list though, plan your bladestorms wisely. I did not

Well i an not new at the game as this is my 3rd army but yeah i've had limited experience and only like 10 games under their belt at assorted point levels.
Yeah those wraithguard are definitely on their way out. 1 power weapon mixed in with some troops usually nails em to the board. The single shot bright lance has been massive fail for me also. I usually hide my harlequins in the Falcon and star engine them across the table to take things like basilisks out with some fusion pistol action. But i'll try out some different stuff since you pretty much pointed out all of the issues i've been dealing with on the army lol.
