So, the army is a mobile shooting army that has decent assault and can take on mech lists, and hordes. Only one melta unit and the librarian's blood lance or sword for heavy armor, but with the amount of mobile las cannons the list has, it should be OK against anything but a triple land raider list. The Scouts sit on an objective with a 2+ cover and each 5 man unit but one has character support so that they can triple flamer or melta a target when they need to. The priest's ability means that is they need to assault, they should be OK so long as it isn't anything really nasty.

Only 20 boys, which is light, but the amount of metal boxes rolling around means the Razorbacks should be safe due to target saturation.

Opinions?

I can say what this list DOESN"T work against, haha, Dark Eldar!

DashofPepper just handed me ass on Vassal with his MSU Wych Raider list, and wow was that a royal ass kicking!

Thanks for showing me how to use Vassal, Dash, I appreciate it. That is a really cool program. I think I have the hang of it now and will look forward to a rematch with a list I actually play.

Hopefully I will get to meet you in person this weekend, buddy!

I really honestly think this list is really good. Maybe dropping pred annihilators for Dreadnoughts. Those are heavy support as well.

Dreadnoughts still soak up a lot of fire, and can bother a lot of armys. Just because they're walkers. If you keep it cheap, you might be able to field a Furioso Librarian also.

Three dreadnoughts normal + Furioso Librarian. That's almost like a squad of walkers! for cheaper than 3 pred ann.

Those MM on the dreadnoughts, along with all of your razorbacks should be well more than enough Lascannon power.

Maybe you can add to the scout squad, or something with the extra points after getting four walkers.

The purpose of argument is informative discourse, not to see who finishes in front.

Personally, I feel you are light on troops (as you've already mentioned). Target saturation aside that's still just 20 marines and once they have to get out of their metal boxes (assuming that they will indeed need to or be forced to at some point) the small unit size may prove to be problematic. If you could stay out of cc for the most part you could shoot things to shreds but I know that most of the times that I've fielded a mech heavy force such as this I almost always wish I had more marines at some point.

Interesting - that's always been my concern about small Marine squads in AV11 transports. I used to play Dark Eldar, and I had no trouble stopping Razorback armies (they were common in 3rd edition when you could shoot out of Razorbacks). I can't see any reason why a shooty Eldar army shouldn't be just as lethal against a force that relies on Razorback squads and Preds. Maybe with so much supporting firepower, you could take larger squads of Marines - jump packers would probably work well.

I often wonder when I see lists like this whether this impressive force of vehicles has actually been built and painted. Has it? If you've had a game then it would suggest that it has, in which case it must be quite a sight. I find, however, that a lot of lists that are great in theory become less appealing when it comes to building and painting everything.
