They come in squads of 1-3 for 1 elites slot and they are all IC's, does that mean you can purchase 3 for one elites slot and then split them into 3 different squads or do the 3 need to stay together?

You can deploy them seperately, assigned to different squads etc etc

Yeah just like wolf guard, have to be fielded in 3+ but you can put them in 3 diff squads as one unit. I don't think the priests would honestly do too well or too much in a squad of 3 by themselves with out being attached to a unit.

It's actually pretty different, in this case they have a special rule that lets you select 3 of that unit entry, for only a single FOC slot. It's important to understand this because if not for the fact that you are selecting the unit entry 3 times (instead of a single unit entry of 1-3 sanguinary priests) they would have to deploy together (although each of them has the IC rule so they could then separate).

The best comparison would be an IG infantry platoon IMO, you use a single FOC slot for the infantry platoon, then you select from a number of unit entries to create the platoon, but they are all totally separate units. That is what is going on with the Sanguinary Priests.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Yes. So you can take 3 in 1 FoC slot or, if you really want, 3 in 3 FoC slots, or 9 in 3 FoC slots.

BA.87.01 – Q: Is it permitted to take more than one Sanguinary Priests selection in an army?
A: More than one are permitted to be taken. In other words, you can have up to nine in a standard FoC chart. [Clarification]

Isn't that what you were asking?

Edit:
Heh, yeah I see now what was being asked xD

I'll add it into v1.8, coming on Monday!

Each individual priest is a separate unit and are a KP each.

So 3 Priests = 3 KP, even if they are only 1 FoC Selection.

Going back to the diffs between this and Wolf Guard. Each of the models are independant characters - always.
Such that they could form a unit in the ways that ICs can but could split off any time they wanted.

Also because ICs are seperate units they each count for a Kill Point sadly.

Wolf Guard that split off and join units do not gain the IC special rule and so are not unique units. Don't give an additional kill point, cannot be singled out in CC and must remain with that unit till the end of the game.

Unless anyone knows differently, think this one covers the differences.

Well a 450 point shield for Mephiston could be 9 of them since there all IC and Mephiston isn't. It's not worth it but it's a good bad idea.

trouble is you can NEVER join an IC to Mephiston, as ICs may never join units that always consist of one model.

Pretty sure this is the first codex where you can quite happily make an unit comprising of multiple models that only includes IC's, that can easily exceed 10 members. To be fair, previous codexes would have had trouble doing this with 5+.

Virtually all of that is due to the elite slots, it's still awesome, though!

Too be fair.. it's all worked out quite well!

With a deepstriking land raider ...only because you can.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
