My fellow Dakka'rites

Just wondering what people's preference is for Black Primer Spray?

Obvious one is Games Workshops but it's ridiculously expensive.......any suggestions??

Prefer white primer spray every time. Black just makes you unable to see the detail you're painting.

As for types, well yes Games Workshop is expensive, but it lasts a good while (depending on how many models you're intending to spray!) and always does a good job.

Other than that just go to your local autoshop and pick up a spray can of black or pref white!

My advice is try both. see which you prefer

Just got back into 40k after a 5yr hiatus... I recently tried rustoleum automotive primer as a alternative for black GW/Reaper rattlecan primer. Quite impressed thus far.

Personally not much for white primer, but will dabble in it for my next list.

Not sure what you can get in your neck of the woods. But Walmart sells Colorplace spray paint for 99 cents. I use the black and the white depending on what am trying to paint and it works great.

I buy mine from home depot. Its .97 cents a can, and it covers awesomely. I love the stuff.

I too buy the cheap acrylic stuff from Wal-Mart. I've found that GW paints stick quite well over it.
