Well, first thing first is that your army is not designed to defeat massed PA wearing enemy forces. Your list is geeked up for anti mech and anti TEq. I would adjust your list slightly to include something that is specifically designed to kill large number of 3+ save infantry models.
An executioner, a banewolf, a leman russ or bassie/collosus stuff.
But, list building aside,
deploying in a long line is not how to combat a podding force, he gets to choose what he wants to pick on and then you'll have to move, there by lowering your overall firepower, in order to react to him.
You can either reserve your whole list and force him to land and either move in far away or at least you get to shoot first in most cases.
I castle up against drop pod forces, usually against an edge or large piece of impassable, LoS blocking terrain. You surround the most important units with less important, then screen with infantry. Against a list like his I would put the demollishers behind chimeras, then put a bubble of guardsman outside them. He'll have to choose to shoot chimeras within meltas to blow them up, take a long shot with meltas over 6" on the demolishers or waste his turn firing into guardsmen. Basically, you're using your guardsmen/chimeras to force him back away from your demolishers.
Then start moving away from him as fast as possible with whatever survives his drop. Once he's on the board he is limited to a small amount of movement with short range weapons. Use your mobile elements (valks and hellhound) into reserve and strike at range.
and don't forget to put melta into drop pods. with 6" you wreck them on a 3+ with a pen roll. And they give up a KP.
