I justed finished watching the movie on IFC.
It is definately going on my list of Top Movies that Everyone Should See At Least Once In Their Life.
I enjoyed the turnaround at the end when the healthcare lady's car get's rear ended, and the music for the scenes always fit perfectly,
and it was absolute genuis the way the stories ended up overlapping.
5 out of 5 stars.
Yes, I know this movie is a few years old as well. Sue me.

Sorry GES, I really hated that movie. The moralising and speechifying felt really artificial to me, really contrived. The performances was good but to me it was like Monster's Ball, it was a manipulative film that relied on theatrics because there was no real heart behind it.
If you don't negative posts coming in to the thread tell me and I'll delete this, but damn I hated that movie.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Naw it's perfectly alright not to like a movie.
I actaully found alot of the movies prtrayal of race relations to be laughable tbh, but I still enjoyed the movie for the most part.
I honestly did laugh so amny tiems in that film.

We has a winner. Pretty much agree with everything here, except Monsters Ball, which while manipulative as well, had at least two redeeming values.

So, WHICH particular CRASH movie are you talking about?
There's the Cronenberg one about car-crash fetishism and another one that was made a few years ago.
I've seen the first, and not the second. Probably the 2nd then, eh?

Cronenberg is perfect. I love him so much! This thread has nothing to do with him though so I'm going away :p
