Do you have fluff for it?

Is the rest of your army digging themed?

Darkest Kent (England)

That is the questions but I would say it is no more cheesey than 5 Land raiders (if you have the points) in normal games.

Okay, I've been on a bit of a hiatus 2011-14

Currently working on my Riot Guard.

Somewhere in the unknown universe.

It has flavor, like a tri-wraithlord list for eldar

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

A post Brexit Wasteland

Nah its not cheesey because i have played one of these lists and the trygons suck! 2 dev (8 las cannons) and a standard land raider took em down in two turns.

I took one down with my Lord Commissar, and he had a power fist!

Not really, they go down pretty quick to anything that's high strength, low AP. My friend, playing IG, took one down in one turn with the "Take it down!" order and bunches of melta + las fire. And I've seen them (twice) get mishapped in a Deep Strike - once getting shunted all the way to a corner of the board, and once outright destroyed.

So, meh. Tough to take down, maybe, but massed fire of any kind will still do the trick.

mawlocs are better. Start em on the table, burrow turn one & pop back up guaranteed turn 2, burrow on 3 (If still alive) come up turn 4 guaranteed. Maybe work it one more time if it's still alive.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

Trygons are boss. Dont ever deep strike the things, unless youre playing against tau. Just run them up the table. Is it cheesy? Hell no, find me a nid list that is.

They are great models and just fun to play. not overpowered, they have their strengths and own weaknesses. big point sink for 3 of em though in my opinion.

over 2000pts of each :

Somewhere in south-central England.

If you run three Trygons in a mass with a couple of Venomthropes for the mobile cover save, it could be an interesting Death Star.

Someone will cry cheese.

I don't think they are outrageous compared to what some other armies can do.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Exactly - every weapon in the game can hurt them (least, I dont recall any weapons being S2 or less that werent also poisoned) and they die to mass fire the same as 6 T6 marines would do.

Sternguard would just shred them, even without combi plas / melta.

No. I don't think the tyranids have a cheesy build after 3 months of playing various lists in the codex. If an opponent panics and try's to shoot at all of them at the same time instead of concentrating on one at a time it could be a bad day for them though.
