Hey all, I'm looking for an army transport that could be used to carry several different armies (Not all at once, of course). I understand that that some models are mutually incompatible, but
I'd like to know what the overlaps are: Can I get 60 spaces that hold Banshees OR Scorpions OR Reapers Or Genestealers OR Saurus etc..., 120 for Empire Spearmen, Boyz, Dire Avengers, etc. What's feasible? Any input much appreciated.

Hypothetical armies for the 1520:
ORKS
120 Boyz( with raised axes of course...)
1 hovercraft: 4.5 Inches at widest, 7.75 at longest, 4 at highest (The tailfins..)
1 trukk: 3.75-4 inchs at widest, 10 at longest, 3 at highest.
1 big trukk 3.75 at widest, 9 at longest(tusks), 3.5-4 at highest
6 kans
3 deff dreads
30 Nobz or mega nobz
3-6 koptas, depending on what's doable.

I think the real problem will come from mixing different armies in one foam tray.

If you went with pluck you'd choose whatever unit fit into the tray. But you might fit less.

If you went with precut foam you run into the problem of the odd man out syndrome but fit a few more in.

GW bags that I've seen have pre cut. My stores don't have much for them.

Sabol Army Transport has pre cut and pluck foam.

Battlefoam Army bags have per cut, pluck and custom foam.

So ask yourself what's available near you/what can you order? Also take that list and shop around, see how many of each kind (pre, pluck, custom) you'd need and what you can afford. This is, of course, manufactured army bags. DIY may allow for more customization but I don't do that. I'm lazy

Your best bet, honestly, is to give the folks at Battlefoam a call and talk it through with Romeo or one of the crew. I've ordered a couple times from them, and each time they've been 100% ready to work with me to make sure all my random requests were worked into the foam design. They're great people to work with, it's worth a shot!

I think you could probably fit this all in one bag, but you'd have to have different sets of trays- at least for the vehicles vs. infantry heavy armies!
