I searched and found nothing...my buddy sent me a link to a thread from the 1st of this year but it was referring to space wolf termies...

can vanilla termies start embarked in a drop pod and deep strike onto the board using it? or can they simply climb into one that is already down...he thinks that he can enter play embarked in the pod...i dont think he can because its not a dedicated transport option for regular termies (space wolves it seems to be ok?)

Vanilla termies cannot since it is a dedicated transport and not in their options to purchase. Space Wolves use them because they are superstitious about teleporting. I wish they could though.

The only way to get Drop Pods in a Marine army is to buy them as a dedicated transport, which isn't an option for Termies.

Only the unit for which a dedicated transport is purchased can start the game in it.

So no, there is no way currently to get a regular Terminator squad into a Drop Pod.

For your second question, the drop pod rules specify that no models may embark into it once it has landed.
