I'm after a cool looking G.D model. I like some of G.W's but as I run Iron Warriors I want a G.D which doesn't look Chaos God aligned.

Really I'm after a generic Daemon. Something which looks pretty cool and the size of a G.W G.D. I was thinking of using a Balrog, does any one know how big they are?

The 40k DP looks great for Iron Warriors. Also check the 54mm suppliers like Pizaro, Enigma, Draconia, Andrea, Yedharo, and the rest. Even GW's =][= range could work, eg


And if you want an Enigma/Pizaro/Draconia etc drop Wayland games a message on their Warseer thread and ask them to stock!

What about a bloodthirster converted to an armoured behemoth? use bits of tank plating to cover him in armour......

I use the "Eldar Demon" (Who are they kidding, it's Cthulhu) from Reaper Minis for my GD. Doesn't have a thing to do with Iron Warriors and it's a bit on the small side so needs some creative basing, but I smile every time he devours a dozen marines and a walker

One of the guys at my FLGS uses a Balrog, pretty much the correct size, and comes with a whip and wings!

Just brought a plastic balrog on e-bay for £22 inc p&p - now I need ideas to convert it to look more 40k.

Iron plating and he needs a big metaly claw. Not sure of the scale on the balrog, but could you use a ork warboss PK?

The inquistor range model above is perfect for Iron Warriors, plus some minor conversions on it, it would look really nice.

Try the Darkspawn demon from Reaper.

He'd be great with a couple of arms from one of those inquisitor guys, or try attaching guns where his hands should be.

If you want to convert the balrog, just grab some of the defilers armoured plates they fit very well. A claw from the defiler might also work.

I may have some spare defiler parts. I'll check.

I do not think it has ever been released.

Rumor has it that daemon prince will be in the Daemons Release 2 wave that is coming out in August.

They are rereleasing the deamons so it may be coming out
