Hey, so I'll be playing a game this week against a friend of mine who also plays WoC. He is magic heavy and brings an Infernal Puppet. The list I'm bringing is magic heavy Nurgle and I also use an Infernal Puppet. Any thoughts on how this will work if there is a miscast? In the FAQ, it says that the Puppet can be used when ANYONE miscasts. So it can be used on either players' turn. Is there something out there that I'm maybe overlooking? Is it in the FAQ? Thanks alot.

For those of you that are unaware, the Puppet allows you to modify the Miscast table roll by D3 when someone miscasts. How will this work if we both have the item?

The FAQ addresses the situation where both players have puppets. Essentially, you both get to roll a D3 and modify the result accordingly. I'm not sure how much it matters, but I think the order is that the miscasting player puppets first, then the opposing players puppets the puppeted result.

The FAQ says something like this:

1) Wizard Miscasts
2) Roll Miscast result
3) Either player may go 'Aha!' and use his puppet
4) OTHER player may go 'Aha!' and use HIS puppet

The problem is this: How long do you stare at each other before ONE of you decides to use the Puppet?

As long as you want.
It is probably the player who miscasted who will say it first, but whoever does, the other one will most likely announce he have it too until the other one has modified it.

Unless the miscast is so bad or so negligible that you don't bother modifying it...at first. What a strange scene that must be: two sorcerers of chaos waving sock puppets at eachother while one tries to cast a spell. No wonder Khorne can't take magic seriously.
