Most of the things came out more or less how I wanted them. The only thing I'm overtly concerned about is that the top looks so pristine compared to the sides. Im not quite sure how to "dirty up" a flat surface that wouldnt see much mud. Im also deciding if I regret painting the interior, since it is so seldom seen, and even when it is seen, its very dark inside (i posted a WIP pic of the inside). The pictures came out a little odd, too (either the flash washed out the mud, or they are very yellow w/o flash...so I included a mix). Anyhoo, thanks in advance for critiques and criticismses.

I like the Greek Helmet and skull head thing, thats really unique!

I also think the top looks too nice combined with the dirty sides. Perhaps add some blast marks?

I really like this. Good to see a purple tank too.

The only thing I would do is add some highlights on the edges so it stands out more. A very light touch with the side of the brush around all the corners not touching the dirty bits would really make the tank shine.

Hope my 1st vehicle is as good as this.

Wow thats very nice, alot of detail. My first tank was a Rhino and its the worst painted model in my army but it is the most survived model in my army. Keep it up!

What I do to make the top of the tank look less perfect is run a very, very light drybrush of Boltgun Metal along all the edges, looks like the paint has worn away ever so slightly. It also helps break up a massive block of colour

Nice smooth finish on the purple! I like the decorations on the sides - was that freehanded?

Considering that this is your first vehicle, this is brilliant, especially the freehand Spartan helmet. Your freehand skills are superb!

Thanks for the freehand praise, it took me much longer to touch and retouch than I had originally thought...oh well, paint and get better, rinse/repeat.

@Cormz: i had to post a pic where the inside could actually be seen, if only to justify the time I spent doing it

I like the helmets but I reckon that they could look better if they were defaced with stuff stck over them as if the army was recently chaosified.

Looks good.

Inboud...

Good job- freehand work is particularly pleasing!

For the interior, most tanks usually paint it white, or cream colour- this maximizes the effectiveness of any light that gets in. To 'chaosify' it, add viscera over the floor. And from the walls. And dripping from the ceiling...
*ahem* you get the jist.

I was wrestling with the helmet issue myself. When viewed from the right (the LR's left side), its not very chaos-y. But the chapter's logo is the 1/2 horned skull 1/2 old school helmet on the LR's right door. So i thought it might be cool to split it up and put the profiles on the side panels.

The idea is that its on offshoot of the iron warriors, and they have a more soldierly 'demeanor' than some chapters. But I definitely see what you are saying about that one side not looking chaos-y enough...it was a fluff decision to be sure.

you mean sparta-cular! hur hur.

Great to see a unique colour scheme, especially when it's well executed! If if HAD to pick on something (not because I want to but because it may help future endeavors) the hull would definitely benefit from a bit oh high-lighting.

Great work on the free-hand too!

Kudos on a job well done!

If you want the inside to be more visible, and don't mind going slightly mad, I'd suggest hooking up some LED's. I've never painted/assembled a tank, so I'm not sure where the battery pack could fit.

P.S. I always paint the inside of my vehicles, It doesn't feel right if you don't, IMO.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.
