A friend of mine how plays angels has asked me to prep him a cool list.
While this one does fit into the "cool" definition I'm not sure if it's any good since I don't play angels.
I don't remember the exact costs of units since I don't have the codex with me but it comes out at approx 2000

I agree with the comment about the duplicated units, but that's a personal preference. If you and your group are fine with that, then it's not an issue.

I think you've gone overboard on the upgrades for the Sanguinary Guard. It's always tempting to load up an elite unit with toys, but it quickly becomes a potential points sink. I would drop at least 1 power infernus and a power fist from each.

Power fists on Sanguinary Priests are also probably not a good idea. The Priests can be singled out, and they'll strike last - they may be dead before they get to hit anything. Consider normal power weapons, or maybe a gun.

I would also give the Baals assault cannon and heavy bolters ( I assume by 'flamers' you mean you've given them all flame weapons), and let them roam about using their firepower at range. I think they'll last longer, and still do a lot of damage.

I can't really judge how effective Dante makes this army, but setting him aside it looks quite fragile. You're also evidently planning to convert 2 Storm Ravens - that's quite a project!

Na. we'll just use some proxies for storm ravens. this list is for friendly battle, nothing official.

Your storm ravens need the Locator beacons. Just good to have them.

I think if you drop a SHP and some of the toys on the Sanguinary Guard you can afford an Honor Guard for Dante. Load it up with a few melta guns so you can auto pop a tank when Dante lands. You still keep a bubble effect, its cheap and doesnt jack your KPs, and you have more models.

The other priest I would drop all wargear from and just ride around in a Storm Raven for the 6" bubble. He has enough points in wargear to buy two expendable models that will give your army more wounds and cause more damage (besides being way safer).

My honest idea is you are way too squishy to assault any army. Even a shooty heavy army has the numbers to kill you with their basic guardsmen/direavengers/etc. They will get to hit you, and when they do it will hurt badly.

Even with a 2+ save plus FNP?

The simplest thing I could add to the things already said would be - too many upgrades, not enough models. Way too many infernus pistols and fists, your Stormravens are more then enough anti armor for the list say 1 infernus pistol in 1 of the squad and 1 power fist in the other two. The issue being, is with 5 models you really don't want to drop their initiative so deeply- if you have Dante and a priest with your banner squad, most of your squad is acting at I 1, which means you won't be able to catch people if they try to run away in combat but it also means you run the risk of having them get bogged down and die to swarms or to something that can throw a lot of shots / attacks at them.

If you dropped the fists and combi meltas off of the priests, that right there is 70 points. You could then drop 5 fists and 7 infernus pistols to give you another 120 points. I'd then personally leave Dante's unit without a power fist, so you can have a fast anti infantry unit that you can throw into enemy scoring units and infantry. Angelus Boltguns are too good to pass up as an assault unit, it lets you shoot as if you were a full 10 man squad with pistols prior to the charge with 5 men. With those points I would personally drop the extra armor on the storm ravens due to their primary role as cover and firing platforms after dropping off their loads of SG. This would allow you to take a fourth SG unit with a PF and an infernus pistol in it.

This way, you lose some of the overabundant equipment that will surely go to waste and you don't really lose all that much when you boil it down. 8 melta missiles, 2 meltaguns and 5 infernus pistols is more then enough to take care of armor or heavy infantry you'd want to use it against and it helps you get what this list really needs, more bodies.

So basically i dropped some of the upgrades as you said as well as the ba'als but I'm not entirely sure about dropping all of those infernos pistols. What I wanted was for the sang guards to be self sufficient in the sense that once they disembark they can single handedly pop a transport and assault it's crew in essence freeing up the storm ravens to fire at other targets. Any way now that I freed some points what do you recommended getting? I have 420 points left to spend
