Are there any black library books that focus on pre heresy Khorne legions like World Eaters? I got a FW Bloodthirster and I am thinking instead of demons doing a preheresy marine army. Id like something other than the world eaters baby blue and white, but if thats the only one with color references it wouldnt be terrible.

Also what legs from the kits are preheresy? IIRC everything but the latest "kneecap" is fair game, right? Does anyone have any kit suggestions? I know red scorpions have a lot of preheresy bits and bobs.

Thanks for any help!

Also are there any cases of Wolves going to Khorne? I was thinking it would be fun to have a giant white thirster leading around some white wulfen (count as berserkers)

Do you have the horus heresy visions artbook? It has loads of pics of pre-heresy world eaters, their gear, and almost anything else you might want visually.

I don't think any true space wolves (the chapter that is, not the legion), but the legion was split up into many other chapters and one of them could have been lost in the warp and seduced by khorne.

In the embrace of the great Nurgle, I am no longer afraid, for with His pestilential favour I have become that which I once most feared: Death.

There are 0 pre-heresy khorne Space marines.
Isn't your request aimed at Heresy World Eaters then?
So you have to either accept the non-spikey White and Blue paint scheme or opt for the
Red and brass scheme (WE), if these don't fit , maybe some khorne-followers of the other Legions in their partially Red+Legion colors
Scheme?

From armor and general Design it seems Power armor Mk III to VI would suit pre-heresy/Heresy Units best.
Would suggest the Termie armor style of the Visions-art-Books too, but please ignore the Rest of those badly painted Illustrations.

Space Wolves may resist the temptations of Chaos (example= 13th Company ), Why Not stay with the "hound" theme of khorne?
IMO, the khornates got a pitfighter/Gladiator theme, maybe "dogs of war", a more singular approach to fighting than the
wolves Pack style.

I'm interested to hear what you've been working on GMMstudios. Your last chaos army (the pirate/davey jones' locker/deep-sea octopus/etc) was breathtaking and I can't wait to see what you're thinking of and working on for this project.

That really depends on what you consider "pre-heresy". The world eaters fell to chaos pretty early and might have had pockets of khorne-worshipers(whether they realized it or not) before horus approached angron. It also matters whether he means khorne-worshiping or simply if they look like khorne-worshipers. Even before their fall they were quite crazy and used plenty of chain weapons + hand to hand gear with customizations to increase their close combat ability.

I think that's a bit harsh on that book. A lot of the sillier looking pics are from early books/concept sketches. The majority of the book is very well done and regardless of your aesthetic-sense it shows exactly what kind of paint/gear/vehicles/etc they used at the time and after.
