Hey people,

I made this new list for an anti dark eldar purpose,they are overwelming!

Now there are 3 dark eldar players in my LGS,plus bunch of new starters

Here it comes:

HQ:
Autarch
Power weapon
Eldar Jet bike
Troops:
3 Guardian Jet bikers
4 Guardian Jet Bikers
3 Guardian Jet Bikers
Fast attacks:
3 Vypers
3 Bright lance
3 Vypers
3 Bright Lance
3 Vypers
2 Bright Lance
1 Starcannon

Now I have officially out-vehicled my opponent(who has 7 raiders,which is basicly the same thing as my army)
Huge anti tank units,and really fast
Also,it can go against the cocky kid with 2 land raiders

That list wont work. DE will just out shoot you.


Try cramming as many scatter lasers you can into a list with lots of wave serpents and walkers.

Yep drop all those expensive guns for scatter lasers and underslung shruiken cannons. That will save you about 50 points per squadron if my memory is correct. The 7 S6 shots will do about 1.75 results on a raider each turn (~.5 glances, 1.25 pens) multiple by the three vehicles and you will be unlucky if a raider survives. Alternatively you can use the same guns to mow down whatever comes out of the raider killing an average of just under 9 dark eldar per squadron/turn. With the 150 points you've picked up you can add more cannons to your jetbikers, a fusion gun for your autarch (so you have something to break land raiders, and a guardian squad with a brightlance (or a couple of war walkers with brightlances for said land raider as well.) I would also trade in the autarch for a farseer on jetbike (with fortune, guide or mind war, your choice) as the witchblade will give a S9 weapon in hth and provide a power.

You'd be surprised how effective scatter lasers, shuriken cannons and warp spiders are against those flimsy DE vehicles.
Throw in a Farseer with guide in a falcon with holofields and you have a guided gun-boat that won't go down easily.
Put some fire dragons in said gun-boat and guide them when they leap out and frazzle those land raiders.

Using Bright Lances to hunt Dark Eldar is laughable. Use Shuriken Cannons, Scatterlasers... fire prism auto-glance?

Anything but a bright lance or eldar missile launcher spam.

Seems rather squishy.

and your troop choices are so low i'm not sure what they could accomplish.

Troops are not so important here,perspectively I have the ability to stop everyone who tries to capture an objective
And yea,I think I will trade out some bright lances for scatter lasers,but I won't be taking falcons or WSs in this list,since I am going for the theme of Vypers.I would probably have 2 Vyper squads with laser,and one squad with bright lance just in case someone brings up a land raider

I know what I have trouble against and just can't get around them are War Walkers with scatter lasers. The Eldar player I face takes 3 squads of 3 with a supporting farseer to cast magic with and plenty of wave serpents. Kinda like a gunline that slowly advances keeping a killing field between himself and me.

I would suggest a more reliable troop choice and one that is at least 10 strong.

How many points you looking at?

War Walkers make me sad. :(

I do 1000pt games,fast and fun

uit of 3 war walkers 1 with 2*scater lasers and 2 with scater laser and bright lance that is 16 str 6 shots and 2 lance shots i would say that covers the anti armor pretty well

I told you I am not using walkers in this list

But its possible in other armies

I feel... that you should be giving these small guardian squads a warlock with embolden and a singing spear, and an shurican cannon in each squad, that gives your troops some anti tank ability, and makes them able to re-roll leadership which is great for keeping low numbers of guardian bikes around.

Bright lances at bs3 are a huge waste, I'd say run either shuri cannon or eml on your vypers. (eml because they can fire their s4 ap4 plas shot while still moving 12 inches, complimenting their under slung cannons.

So basically, keeping with the character of the original list, try this for 1000 points.

This list makes sense.
But against an MEQ army it needs to bring all shots to bear.
Otherwise, it will not crumble.

I don't think that destructors would work in this list on those warlocks, they need embolden to ensure that your only 3 fragile troop squads don't run and become unable to regroup. The only time they should be moving close to an enemy is to hit a tank your with your cannon + singing spear.

I noticed that I screwed up the price of the vyper... its 10 points cheaper than I remembered. however simply adding a 3rd vyper to the cannon squad solves that problem entirely, *edited*

I'd recommend using the last 10 points to upgrade one of the vypers in the cannon squad with a scatter laser. I forgot that 15-5 was 10... lol hilarious
