Subject: Footslogging Chaplain?

I was looking in my codex the other night, and checking the prices of "Named" HQs vs. their generic equivalents. I found that if Chaplains could take Hellfire rounds at the same price as Captains, then Chaplain Cassius would be the same price as a regular chaplain, except for the toughness six and Feel No Pain. So basically, he's rather good. However, I cannot see the point of a footslogging chaplain who's not in terminator armor. To me, chaplains are good for units that would normally fall back great distances, like jump infantry or bikes, and for assault-oriented units like terminators. Does anyone have a good use for a footslogging Chaplain in power armor?

He can still join a squad of termies in a raider...he can absorb both small arms fire and lower AP high str. stuff.
Otherwise, yea, footslogging is the balancer for a pretty cost-effective package.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I play DA, so I use my footslogging chaplain with a squad of veterans. I also have the option of giving him a command squad if I remember correctly

LoneLictor on thread about an ork choking the Emperor:
LoneLictor wrote:I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.
Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space. |

Chaplains can no longer take a command squad. I personally don't use my chaplain anymore, just not killy enough and you can't fall back.

I'd consider a Chaplain if he can lead an Assault Terminator unit mounted in an LRC.
A Librarian with nullzone is the best support HQ in the SM codex.
