Well... it depends on what you want them to do and what force multipliers you apply to them.

In general, I will suggest magnets.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I suggest magnets and grammar. Or pins, or anything else so you can swap it out. TH/SS = epic win against MC s, characters, vehicles, and LC = epic win against infantry, other termies, and some characters. LC need a transport more the TH/SS need one, so if you want footslogging/ deepstriking, you'll want the 3++ save.

This man knows what he speaks.

Adding punctuation and capitalization to your posts works wonders.

On the topic at hand, the versatility of magnetizing or pinning the bits is really nice. However, magnets will be much cleaner to work with, since you're not jamming the pieces together all the time. Order some online from Rare Earth magnets (Google it) and you should be golden.

Just get two squads that way you can make one of each loadouts then swap and change without having to mess around too much. (If in doubt buy more )

Take Assault Termies with th/ss only.
I'd took them to several RTTs and won them all.

I like having 3 TH/SS termies and 2 LC termies so that I can take a hell of a lot of melta and plasma shots that will undoubtedly be flung at them.
