In the process of converting/kit-bashing up a "Big Boss" ( right hand ork of my Warboss)for an upcoming campaign and am experimenting with using one of the extra plastic arms from a Warmachine Warjack as a "bionic klaw":




I like the almost "simian" look of it in relation to body size and the fact that it doesn't look like any other PK in my army so it adds some character and visual uniqueness to the this guy for purposes of the campaign.

Remember this is still WIP:

1. I plan to add some cables from the klaw to the left side of his body to play up the bionik nature of it ( he will have cybork body) and bulk out the area under the arm, etc.
2. need to clean up the flash lines
3. the right shoulder is messy and is being reworked


Just wanted tp get people's reaction to the look of the klaw.

It doesnt look hugely orky though, are you gonna 'orkify' it at all?

Yeah the "simian/gorilla" vibe I like, and the asymmetry of it seems appropriately orky as well imho.

I think the abundance of rivets and spikes is rather orky, and then the addition of dags, glyphs and perhaps checks when it is painted will hopefully sell it...

I'm planning to kit-bash some Cyborks with the The Khador faction's stuff since it is is very chunky and covered with rivets, etc. so it is very orky (or easily converted to orky tech) imho.

You get multiple sets of weapon arms in the new Khador warjack kit:


hands are separate which adds to the versatility as you can make them into bionik gun arms, add GW weapon bits, whatever. the buzzsaw would look great on a mek imho, and the legs could be bionik legs, etc. One gun arm that you get is missing from this pic as I can't find it at present.

The only thing really not usable is the torso and heads (not pictured).

Then combine w/ The Kromlech resin kits below:

Combined with GW bitz you Could make some crazy cyborks me thinks...

Did some more work on this guy tonight and I am pleased with how he came together:

Nice. I love the AoBR warboss, he is being used in so many conversions. Each one is unique, yours is among the better looking ones so far. Keep it up!

I think it´s nice work too but maybe some ork glyph´s would make the cake perfect ...!!! What colours will you use ? Considering the many bionics I would think yellow for bad moon´s ??

Ah and after looking again , where is the gun/pistol barrel from ? It look´s great ...

He will be painted in my ork colors which is rusty/filthy metallics w/ red accents (see Warboss in my gallery photos to get an idea) and the usual ork decoration: dags, glyphs, checkerboard, tc., etc.

The pistol barrel was cut from a plastic lascannon I had in my bitz box.

Wow I LOVE it... I've actually been scourging the earth looking for a kit like that Warjack kit. Would you mind listing exactly which kit that is? ...there seem to still be lots of similarly named kits and the metal ones are still floating around most places. - Thanks.

PS - the paintjob on that fist is amazing; looking forward to seeing the rest.

It is the "Khador Heavy Warjack Plastic kit" (code: PIP-33063).

It is the only plastic kit currently for Khador warjacks.
