did the current eldar minis get produced before games work shop started producing mostly plastic minis? because it seems like alot of the eldar are metal though their codex is not old by comparison to many others.

They actually redid a bunch of the Aspect Warriors at the same time the codex launched - Dark Reapers, Striking Scorpions, Howligh Banshees, and Fire Dragons all got resculpted. However, I think it was before the tin tax in the UK went up and they raised their prices.
