Hello!

I am a gamer who played warhammer fantasy about 15 years ago. I bought the box set for 2nd edition 40k back then, but never played it, or did anything with it. Now I am interested in getting into and playing 40k, and am wondering if I should just put together and paint the figs that I got 15 years ago or if I should trade/sell the box set to get new figs. The only thing missing is 1 ork, 1 gretchin, and 1 space marine and maybe some dice, not sure about that. I have all the cut outs, most of them are still attached to their original board, never punched out. I have all the rules and whatnot, including the rules for squats. This is just a thing to pass the time for me, I know there are quite a few serious collectors and players, hate to waste something for no reason if it would be better off somewhere else.

thanx!

You could probably get an extremely large sum on ebay, even for an incomplete kit, though I would probably keep it for bragging rights.

This would include changing my sig to say " I have a rulebook with Squats in it. Your arguement is invalid."

Hi,

I don't know how much you'd get selling something that old- I'd keep it, paint it up, and see if you can link up with some 40k players in your area.

The rules definitely won't be of any use to you! But the models probably have a lot of old-school awesomeness to them

Thats awesome man. I would keep it and maybe even use the models. I guess you could throw it on ebay or something and put a reserve your comfy with. Never know...

Wow, man. Just... wow.

Keep the models and use them for your very own! You could get a mint fo rit on eBay, but it is more awesome to pick up some new rulebooks and use the old-school minis.

For the record, I would totally field the cardboard dred. Looks cheap and crappy? Sure. But, it's allowed to because it's an official GW product and it's "vintage."

A any rate, welcome to DakkaDakka!
