So my buddy Chad (Tinkaro here on the forums) finished off his newest and 'bestest' model so far. and we got pics so I'm posting them up for y'all. I'll see if I can get some better quality/close ups in a few.

The free scribbles on the leg there he did on one of the thrusters of his jump pack.

I don' think the pics are doing it justice. I had to use the flash to get decent pics I'll mess with the camera more later.

"Except, of course... for the wolves, ser?" he had replied.
"Exactly, Kasper,"

He should thin his paints and highlight the black. But nice work!

Looks good, the green purity seals stand out nicely. I agree with a few thin highlights on the black though and drill the barrel to finish it off. Nice work

I am liking the green purity seals and the green eyes.

Guilliman and the Ultramarines are like Manchester United, everyone hates them because they are so awesome!

The gold needs a healthy dose of delvan mud for depth, the crozius handle maybe badab black with a final light red drybrush

In summary: Washes could improve this mini substantially IMHO

Oh and highlight the black too. But yeah, nice one, especially on the green

This has all been done on the mini - however, once again, the pictures don't do it justice and the lighting (flash?) he used for it really washed out the finer highlights. My bone looks like its flat white and I can't see hardly any of the shading on the scrolls, etc... fail photography. I agree that the highlights on the black are really faint though, bad lighting or no - but that's personal preference. I do a light drybrushing of dark grey and then wash it with Badab Black and probably didn't get enough on there. I don't like the thick, bright highlighting most people do on black though.

And as for the green purity seals, the person I painted this mini for wanted it for his Blood Angels army. And since all the purity seals on the rest of the army's red armor are green, I figured I would do the same to this guy to help it tie in.
