Well, the Dream Pod 9 sites and forums are always a plus.

There's also an interesting blog I've been following where 4 guys are each painting a HG force: Tank Santa's Blog

There's been a few threads about Heavy gear Blitz over on the DakkaDakka "Spaceship, Naval, Driving & Mech Games" subforum, too. I try to post the new stuff here when it comes out, but the DP9 forums get the first info. The guys are busy right now on a bunch of projects sot he release schedule is a bit thin but there's a few I don't think I'm allowed to talk about yet.

Depending on where you live it might be hard to get a game in. Have you been to the DP9 forum to look at the player locator?
I have yet to get a game in myself as the closest other player is 4 hours away. But I have two armies like you and hope to lure one of my 40k buddies over to my house with the promise of pizza and anime. Maybe ply them with a little liquor, see what happens...

Although I suck at the actual rules. :( I need to play more, but I tend to be busy doing either back-end coding or trying to knock out some fluff stuff... Working on a fun how-to to build the Black Talon models right now. (Some of these are built by taking a standard model and replacing a few bits with ones from an 'upgrade kit'.)

I actually recieved an invite today to playtest the new rules set for heavy gear blitz! I wa actually excited cause rumor has it that things are much more streamlined. So I'm super excited to put my shouthern models on the table and see how the new rules play. I was also told that my feedback matters big time and to me that's awesome! So I'm gonna dust off mu cobras and jägers and see if they don't get blown to bits!

The newer minis (Black Talons, Caprice, Utopians) also have a ton of parts with them. won't argue they aren't expensive, but you do get nearly every option with them...

(I'm building a 'Mauler Bear' at home* and just found out if I get around to opening a pack of Ravens** they have Light Grenade Launchers*** I can steal! )

*The Bear is an older Fire Support Gear mostly superseded by the Grizzly. The 'Mauler' variant is a close assault**** version with a LGL*** and a lot of anti-infantry weapons.

** Ravens are the Black Talon's top-end scouts. Fast and capable of twice the actions/turn as normal Gears.

*** It gos 'whomp'. And, yes, grenades in heavy Gear actually hurt things!

**** Close Assault in Heavy Gear doesn't mean "hit you with a sword" although a few units do have oversized axes and swords. It does mean "get real close and shoot them more."

Ironically, I've probably played more games, since we had a pretty active group in Montréal with 4/5 people meeting weekly. Past tense.
Anyway, there's been a few threads about HG in the spaceship/mecha section already, quite often comparing it with Battletech, so I'll just post links :

BTW, the guys will be running a demo of 'Heavy Gear Arena' at GenCon, which looks to be kind of a 'Necromunda' to a '40k'.
