The null stone will not prevent the anvil from working, however, it would shut off all runes.
If a cannon had a rune on it, the rune would no longer function, and you would treat the cannon as a normal one of its type. This goes for all other magic items, and rune items.
***Edit*** Just noticed the question about the ensorcelled weapons. I play HE and my main opponent plays WoC, yet I have never used a Null stone. If I remember correctly though the weapons are considered magical, and if they were in fact magical, then yes, the null stone would affect them and negate the strength bonus.
FYI remember that the null stone works both ways. No magic item, no wizard, nothing works within the 6" bubble the null stone gives, for both you and your opponent.
