hey dakka i have a few Q's im looking for gasmask/special forces or militaristic heads/bodys/bits ect that are non gw for a themed ork army im planning called the ork of duty 40k modurn waaaghfare
also any feed back/pictures of good plastic converted kommandos i could use for some inspiration, well i hope you can help me with my Q's then some time in the future i can show off this army, if i ever finish my current ones.

Micro Art Studios have many ork things worth taking a look at.


Maxmini also have some great stuff, guns n such, cybork bitz.

Also consider using bitz companies to buy up the heads from the burna boyz and dagger holding WHFB orc arms.

Imperial Guard bitz work really well for this sort of stuff. Even just gluing on a backpack, a few grenades and stuff like that, can make an ork look kommando-ish.
I did something like that recently, I'll try to get a picture.

That idea would work for bitz and such, but as far as the gasmasks go, they are WAY to small and out of proportion to an Ork.

MSG has it spot on. Infact if you want to see some of those gasmask heads on a real Ork mini, look up jamsessionein. He did some pretty cool stormboyz and had those heads on there. He said they might look a bit large on a normal boy, but either way, check his stuff out.

Here's some Kommandos I converted up using Ork plastics, including bits from the Battlewagon, Burnas, Stormboyz, Bikers, and Boyz:

No- Offense but they dont really look like kommandos they just look like orks with knives and bolter's Really you should think about using Plasticard or modeling clay and you can make your own little costumes and blades...
