I've got to say, all my credit goes to my dad. I probably wouldn't be as interested in this sort of thing if it weren't for him!!!!!

About 7 years back, I noticed some cool looking figures in this little store in an alley of Main Street down in Hyannis, MA. Who knew that 7 years later, my dad and I would have close to 15,000 points of models in WHFB and 40k!!!!!

My dad has been working on old army models since he was a little kid, so he thoroughly enjoys having his teenage son dish out the nostalgia. Unfortunately, we don't get to play as much as we'd like to, but we LOVE building conversions and painting them up. We also have built a ton of scenery for our table, but it doesn't get used anywhere near as much as it should!

My dad's had a couple of big projects, one of which is his scratch built Stompa that is in its final stages of painting. I'm trying to get him to build me a Baneblade, but I doubt he'll build me something that can take out his new Stompa!!!!!

Nevertheless, I'll hopefully get some pics up of my own guys; I've managed to beat my dad in a painting contest at our local store. My camoflauged Tau have been coming out beautifully, hopefully the camo will make them less squishy when his orks start piling in!

These boards are great, lots of ideas circulating around, hopefully I'll be able to post more and learn as much as I can!!!

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.

The idea of Land Raider rarity is a lie, there are millions of them, they reproduce like tribbles. Ask the Blood Angels, they have so many they even throw them out of thunderhawks moving at high speed to try and reduce the numbers.

Sounds like a pretty cool father-son bonding moment/rivalry thing ya got going on there bud. My pop never gamed with me :( (too busy building model airplanes while I was building model tanks, everyone needs a hobby, right?). I'd like to see some of your guys conversion work when you get the time. Personally, I am an old schooler and extremely lazy painter nowadays so I don't really have anything much to show off... They look good to me, but by todays standards, kinda meh. Still, nice of you to show up. Look foreward to seeing your stuff.

Retroactively applied infallability is its own reward. I wish I knew this years ago.

I'm both chaotic and orderly. I value my own principles, and am willing to go to extreme lengths to enforce them, often trampling on the very same principles in the process. At best, I'm heroic and principled; at worst, I'm hypocritical and disorderly.
