Towards your question about what to field it as, you could put it in as a Warboss with PK (the feet), or you could play it as a Big Mek (particularly with some story about how much he "luvs lootin da umie stuf". Just some ideas!

allright, i decided to make my guy a big mek with the smoke launchers being a count as KFF ( since it gives a cover save wouldnt it make sence that smoke launchers be able to give that too?)  i also gave him the chainsword for his choppa. if I ever would want to field him with a burna ill just give him the flamer that is on the sprue  as for the warbuggy idea, i thought about it before, but found it hard to bieleve that a walker (with one foot on the wrong side! those silly meks  ) would be a "fast vheicle." maybe if an imperial buggy like the FW one ever came out for something like spearhead, i will convert it!

If you have the bits, you might sub out parts of the leg for ork deff dread bits. It'll make it look ungainly but it might also work out to be something cool, too.

Or give it more weapons and armour to make a Dredd? It's about the right size.
I'll be using some Sentinel bodies (with changed much shorter legs) as Kans - my orks loot anything.
