I haven't seen any yet, but I'm also anxious to read some!

I'll be sure to post links here if I find any...

Couple guys in my regular group have gotten it and played several games. They say it's great, and really captures the sense of story, including "what might have been".

In the first play report, as I recall, they said that when the Imperial Player sent Sanguinius up to Horus' battle barge, instead of staying to kill him, Horus teleported down to attack the palace, and wound up being killed by Rogal Dorn!

Nice!

Good to see that a variety of actions are possible.

This sounds like a 'must buy' now!

Having played only one game, my initial reaction is that it's rather hard on the Chaos player. When the game runs out, the Imperial player wins, so Chaos has to be the one to work for the victory. However, Imperial play gets to sit inside some heavily fortified positions which seem really tough to crack. It may be an issue of being new to the game and not really having a mastery of tactics though, but I don't know if I'll play it much more because of it only being a two player game.

Hopefully there are ways around this, but 'historically' it is accurate, as Horus' hand was forced by the imminent arrival of the Ultramarines, Space Wolves and Dark Angels...

"Imminent" arrival of the Dark Angels, these suckers just wanted to side with the winning side so they took their time to come.

I hope it was because you were new to the game because I wanted to play chaos.

It sounds like the big War of the Ring game FFG did (I think it was them). The two sides played very differently, especially with the 'minigame' of the Fellowship's path. The two sides of the WotR game are related in different ways: moving the Fellowship to key places makes activating light-side units easier (I.E. Gandalf slipping Theoden some prozac to get the Riders of Rohan to activate), but concentrating on moving the Fellowship (Light) or searching for the Fellowship (Dark) means less actions for the warfare side of the game.

Is this how HH works?

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

I have it but haven't had a chance to play a full game yet. It's similar to WotR in that there is asymmetry... however, I wouldn't say it goes to the lengths that WotR did. Much more warfare... it reminds me of FFG's Starcraft minus the resource collection. The different factions had different win conditions and different units in Starcraft, but it was mostly about creating units and fighting. I think I will like the combat a bit better in HH though.

I know the game is advertised as 2 people but could it be played co-op with 4 people and still be as fun? (2 guys sharing duties per team?)

Probably not. War of the Ring had a special thing to allow that, and even it didn't work very well. I mean, to the extent you could do that with any game, it might work. Would you have fun playing 2v2 40k, sharing all the decisions?

What he said.
Board Game Geek is always a great source of info on any board game.

I am tempted to buy this game, but I just don't think I'll play it often enough to warrant the price.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.
