Hey all, I recently got some black Didi's magic ink from the warstore and have been trying to use it on my Ultramarines but I have some problems with it staying on the flat surfaces of the armor and staining it black... this is less than satisfactory. I am wondering to combat this do you thin the ink and if so with what, or are there any other techniques that you guys use to keep the wash in the cracks and crevices where it belongs. I also apologise if this seems like too much of a noob question.

You might be appling too much at a time. Run the edge of the brush against the lip of the pot/palette a ccouple times before applying. Also If you are just working on the crevices, apply it directly to the crevices and don't try to wash the entire model. Last, once the brush runs out of ink, you can go back to the areas where it's pooling and run the brush gently over it and it will usually suck up a lot of the excess. Even after that I'll sometimes have areas where the ink or wash bled over onto the flat surfaces too much and I'll just put a light touch up of the original color over it.

No there isn't. If you really want one, I guess focusing on crevices is a "technique".
