Im stuck at the genlock conjurer at the near the end.
I keep using morrigan by getting her close and hitting him. by the time i get him to half helth he puts on swarm and makes it so i can heal.
Iv tried melee he just ports around. tried arrows they dont do damage.
i have shale. me a sheild warrior, morrigan and leliana.
I hate it when game developers make things frusterating.
I have even tried to pull my character close so the conjurer ti distract him. he kills him. with all the shades he completly dies.
Please help. i really want to play awakenings.
Also side note. i hear the return to ostagar gear does port over. can some one confirm this?
Edit: does he summon more shades after i kill one. if so that will be really nice to know.

Are you level 20 and do you have Blood Dragon, Dragonbone or Juggernaut armour equipped? Those two things are VITAL for a sword-and-shield warrior. Cailan's armour isn't something you should use for the whole game, considering there are better options (Juggernaut, Blood Dragon, Legion of the Dead and Effort).

Does Leliana have Arrow of Slaying? That's quite possibly the single most damaging attack in the game. I've had her get over 300 damage with AoS; it's nuts!

Does your warrior have Bravery? That's essential for the class, especially tanks.

What specialisations do you have for each character? Morrigan needs Spirit Healer if you aren't using Wynne, Leliana needs Ranger, and a tank should ideally have Champion and Templar (or Reaver if you're more daring).

Is Shale set to damage or tanking? If you're already a tank, make her use Pulverising Blows, and if you're a damager, make her use Stoneheart.

If you don't have top-tier armour and a Spirit Healer, you're fethed. Totally, utterly screwed. The first time I played through, my entire party was level 20 and had the best armour and weapons available, and I didn't bring a Spirit Healer with me to the final battle. I couldn't beat the Archdemon, even on casual difficulty. I cannot stress how vital a level 20 Spirit Healer with 50+ magic and 35+ willpower is.

My cailens armor in drgonbone. i upgraded the tier. It is better then any of the armor you just mention.l yes i have most of the stuff. my warrior is beserket and champion. leliana ranger and morrigan is a spirit healer. i swear if i have to go through this again i might go crazy.
im also using starfang on him and earthshakers portable bulwark. one of the best sheils of the game. I can beat him if he didnt teleport.

I understand you don't have Hexes maxed out on Morrigan? Spamming those is the best way to deal with just about anything. Paralysis, Mass Paralysis and other CC spells are essential too.

I love it how RPG's these days have more alike with business sims.

What should i do for a sheild warrior that also wants to do damage?
Im going to miss having dog at the tower of ishal. Im going to do a dalish warrior elf. or dwarf commoner warrior.

Shield warriors aren't meant to do damage. They can dish out a fair bit of punishment at high levels, especially with bonuses from Rally and enchanted weapons, but their mission is to take hits for the team. If you want to do damage, use two-handed weapons or dual wield. You can buy a respec tome in Awakening so you can change then if you want to.

my sheil warrior still does alot of damage. But i made it past the conjurer. im at the arch demon.
I have very little reinforments.
16 dwarfs.
no elfs
47 redcliffe
6 mages.
i can make it to were he/she is down to half health. but i may need to use some tactics with morrigans healing.
i have 33 health potions. and by the time he is down to half health he flies and i cant deal with the adds since my team is gone. im using greater spirtbalms. maybe i should turn of thearten and defense and attack the dark spawn when they attack. ugh. i hate final bosses. i will kill him eventually.
any suggestions?
i rarly use tatic slots so some suggetion there would be some help. as well as who to use when.

the only problem is. I had starfang equipped so when i transfer him over to awakening he wil have armor and a sheild but no weapon.
Can i like go back on and continue playing after the epilogue or what? i would like to switch weapons.

Load a save before the fight with the archdemon (or just any before the epilogue) and retool your guys with weapons you'd like to keep. You can then import that specific save. Awakening caps the import level at 18 so you shouldn't loose any exp.

You can download it for around 3000 MS points, IIRC.

IIRC the Epilogue save let's you retool only your character and you lose all the stuff that was equipped on other characters. If you want to strip some good armor off of them you should take an earlier save.

well we will se when i get it. i stripped all the armor of my companions mostly so it will transfer over. cept the dlc. im going to miss starfang.

By the way, Oghren starts Awakening with Legion of the Dead armour, so you can actually have two sets.
