Elites : 30 ogryns = 1230pts
2 commissars attached w/ 2 power weapons

Leman russ vanquisher w/ LC = 170 pts

Basically, mate, primaris psykers are worse than CCS. CCS and veterans should all, always have maximum special weapons. If you're going without transports, infantry platoons are often a better bet, as they're more resilient with higher numbers. IG infantry are only useful for special and heavy weapons, do not take without them!

Vanquishers are terrible, pask is throwing good money after bad. Take LRBTs or demolishers, use meltaguns in transports (or medusas) for busting heavy armour.

Ogryns are generally considered pretty bad too. You cannot take attached commissars for an ogryn squad.

Yes its not competitive. but always taking vendettas, melta vets, melta CCS etc get boring so id like somethin different.

mass ogryns can take anything and are FUN to play in just annihalate games. 2 flaws are heavy armor (long range anti-armour is best in this case) and leadership. 2 lord commissars will give LD 10. and 2 vet squads with max meltas with 30 pts left. could give lords fist or replace normal LRV with exectioner.

i think ogryn could be good. the worst case scenario is a nightbringer but 90 ripper guns and charging would kill it. vanquishers also have a good chance of killing big guns on tanks or beta just killing the tank.

Ovbiously its harder taken mostly underrated units but its funner and with right play it could win.

What's the point in taking naked veterans? Point of for these is to take multiple wargear. If you want standard lasguns then go platoons.

I say "Go crazy". Sure it's not remotely competitive, or really even a good idea, but like you said it should be fun.
