1. This is not news or a rumour (could a mod please move this?)

2. Punctuation is your friend, learn to use it.

3. You claim to be an 'experienced player' but are asking what army you should get because you want to be 'quite good at shooting and combat'. This is not the voice of experience, methinks...

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

I'm gonna straight on in here and recommend you collect an army based on a particular theme or style, rather than just choose an army based on 'being quite good at shooting and combat'.

You'll probably have more fun, and develop yourself better as a wargamer by simply choosing an army you like the look of and trying to work out the tactics and setups around it's strengths and flaws.

I would suggest expanding your current SM army till you have every unit and combo at your disposal.

This is the only time Id agree lol

Well your rather confusing. Your name is Orky something fierce, you say you play SM, and your asking what army you should play. I totally agree with Kryppers on this. Find something that grabs you, and start playing them. You WILL be more devoted to the game if you picked an army that you like, besides being able to crush people. That mentality gets old fast, and youll always be pissing money away for the new release because they always get something better.
Just read some fluff, ask some general questions and see what army comes out on top for you.
SM are pretty decent at combat and good at shooting, and Orks are better at both if focused hard on that one style. But Necrons are also awesome at shooting, as are Tau, but not so great at combat normally. Eldar are really specialized at what they do, they can be pretty awesome at shooting and also pretty awesome at combat, but they take some experience to know how to use them correctly. Dark Eldar are also really good at shooting(though they are getting a new dex this year) Im not really sure about Nids, as I havnt played against them in the new dex and honestly havnt read it lol.

So yea, its easier to just say learn about the armies, and choose one that sounds fun to you. Its the easiest.
