Wow, 1,000 posts and nearly 2 years here on dakkadakka!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone for your help, advice and banter. I lurked on quite a few forums before joining dakka and am happy to say I made the right choice - thanks to yakface and legoburner who do a great job of running the site.

Its been a busy couple of years for me (got married, moved house, had a second child) that has left me without much time for gaming but dakka has kept up my interest and taught me an awful lot. When I look at the lists I create now and the way I play the game its unrecognisable from what I did before, so thanks to everyone who has contrubuted to this store of tactical knowledge

Looking ahead, my next army (when I finally get enough money together to start it) I intend to do in the full glare of dakka publicity through the P&M forum - please be kind and 2011 will see me finally get my act together and enter the UKGT. I've been promising to do this for years and am determined now to make good on that pledge, so be ruthless when I start to post army ideas! If I'm in it, I'm in it to win!

Finally, this summer I have the pleasure of organising Silver Sorceror - the second dakka UK event (head on over to 'find a game' for details [/shameless plug] ) and can't wait to meet those who are going in person.

Perhaps we should bug lego to add a "Here's a cookie" feature- every time your post rank goes up, you get a cookie pic like the above via PM . Chocolate chip for your earlier advancements, then later on to white macadium nut, even truffle...

I'd put that in the Nuts and Bolts... but I'm thinking he's probably got bigger things to worry about / add / fix . Would be cool, though!
