Been posting away in the 40k threads for nearly a month now and forgot to actually introduce myself!
I'm 31 (oh my god old timer) in South West UK, and been actively collecting and painting 40k army (space marines) for jsut over a year.
But been into 40 k for at least 10 years now.
Right now doing my 2nd Company Emperor's Knights (2nd Legion fluff company), and it is still very much a work in progress....

Well it's quite daunting actually. you spend so much time putting an army together, thinking it's all looking splendid. and then you put up an army list and everyone goes:
"Umm that doesn't work. Nor does that. And that. And i'd change this. And this. Oh and you should have instead."
Now I LOVE the fact that everyone has knowledge about "what works and what doesn't".
But I'd like to see how badly it doesn't work first! lol

That's all well and good, but remember to actually try it out yourself too!
Everyone's local 'metagame' is quite different - what works one place may not work in others.
There are some 'absolutes' though...
