i did not want to put in in the tutorial section as it is a request not a tutorial, but i ask if anyone has the time to make a tutorial to show the features of GIMP (its like adobe photoshop, just free ) preferably using 40k as a base. because i have seen photoshop editors but photoshop is a bit different.
thankyou.

(or if anyone knows a good one)

It doesn't matter if the subject matter in the tutorials is a marine or a kitten - you're learning the same skills.

but there is no tutorial for finding how to do the layering, so that you get a result like the pictures in that thread (cant remember what it was called, photo enhancing or something on the lines of it)

I seem to recall the GIMP manual being conveniently broken down into topics that were searchable. The whole thing was in HTML, with internal links aplenty. If my memory is faulty, then a google search for the specific process will work just fine. All I needed out of GIMP was cropping and color correction and, knowing next to nothing about anything regarding digital photo
manipulation, I found all I needed and more in about 5 minutes. If I can do it, so can you!
