Stern Iron Priest with Thrall Bodyguard

Hello, I really like psykers models. Mages, wyrds, psykers. Always liked them.
This is the two models I use for Rune Priests. One as infantry, and a new guy -who will follow a d***ed expencive WG unit with jump packs.
Anyway, Im not a great painter, and not to hot at converting either, but what the heck, they look all right on the table, and truth be told, I really like these guys and like to keep my army a bit more original.

So first out is "the new guy" I assembeled last weekend, mostly from Assaults quad parts and SW bits. He has a staff with IG psyker staff-head; is this very wrong, fluff wise? Also I know he has a powerfist and a staff, wich is absurd when looking at his weapons options, but I just run them both as a Runic weapon, ok?

The Priest without Jet pack has gotten his staff messed up by me, trying to glue separate parts to a hand and getting it straight. Hopefully I will fix this, soon. But he has a stormy pose I like for my RP (yes, he is an old black templar, now serving the great wolf lord)

Thoughts and questions always wellcome.

I think the heads work really well. Gives a really good barbaric feel.
The only thing I would change would be to either shorten the staff on the first guy or have him hold it nearer the middle - it's a balance thing & personal so don't take it to heart.
As for the painting - I like it. The colour balance on the picts seems a bit on the green side so I take it that the grey is more grey?
I prefer this type of neutral grey rather than the bright blue-grey that GW use.
Keep up the good work!

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

thank you, but Im afraid they are quite blue. Bright, baby, summer sky blue, with bone white-ish arms. Sorry about that. (after painting half an army I realised they were suspiciously akin to my old High Elves, lol, that should not bring out the bad boy status eh?)
