Local Terminus player wanted a rematch after last week. I’ve never been one to turn down a rematch. If you only did it once, you never really did it in the first place. He’s messed around with his list a little and mine has been pretty much the same.

The heavy plodding footsteps of the massive Lich Lord contrasted sharply with the scampering of his minions. They were nearing their destination as they came upon a small clearing. Terminus noticed an odd sight at the other side and halted to see what obstacle was between him and his objective for the dragonfather. The thralls surrounding him slowed their movement as well, looking to Terminus for the next course of action. Opposite the clearing was only an elf female flanked on either side by heavy warjacks.
She stood seemingly unconcerned about the force she was confronted with. Terminus, never one for subtlety or caution, directed his minions forward and spread his oversized and decaying wings to take flight. As his minions closed, they faced volleys of crossbow fire from a nearby copse of trees and sniper fire from the crest of a hill whittling down their numbers. The enemy warjacks unleashed beams of coherent light shattering the thralls, but the mounting losses were nothing Terminus hadn’t seen before and were meaningless in the grander scheme.
The pistol wraiths fired their weapons at the jacks causing only minor damage, but in the process surrounding them with an eerie cold that inhibited their systems. Terminus dove in on one of the jacks, shattering one of its glaive arms and staying outside of the other arm’s reach. He stared at the elf and pointed his blade at her menacingly, noticing only too late that she was chanting to cast a spell.
The questions of what she was doing and why she still seemed so calm were immediately answered as the frozen jack suddenly closed the gap and gripped the Lich Lord by the throat with his good hand. Terminus struggled to break the jacks grip, but it seemed to have a level of strength that vastly outstripped its light construction. The jack rocked back to build up momentum before flinging the beast through the air into the back of the other jack. Terminus struggled to get out of the tangled mess and as he was doing so he saw a different elf dressed in elegant robes. She was chanting for a spell of her own that surrounded Terminus in a glowing light. Terminus was almost to his feat when a pair of chain blades wrapped around his neck, one from either side. He caught a brief glimpse of one of his assailants and the wicked grin across her face as she nodded to her companion and gave a simple tug. The two chain blades neatly sheared the Lich Lord’s head from his torso leaving the bulk of his body to collapse under its weight. With the loss of their leader, the remaining Cryxian forces melted into the terrain like a pack of small animals confronted with a predator.
In Game Terms: My opponent death chilled both jacks and sent Terminus near the Manticore using his reach to stay away from the manticore and taking out an arm. Not a bad strategy by any means as a death chilled jack can't do much to things not already in its melee range, but for the fact that Ravyn has the Locmotion spell. Also Terminus has pretty high strength and ret jacks are generally rather low, so a normal 1-handed throw he might be able to beat, unless of course the jack is a Manticore and using the Force Generator in which case his chances of breaking the throw are only 1 in 36. With Terminus knocked down, from that point on it was just Lady Aiyanna casting the damage buff spell and a pair of auto-hitting MHAs something almost no caster in the game wants to be on the recieving end of.
