In response to my "BA termy are they worth it" thread, I have come up with a list and would like suggestions for modification. List is 1500 pts.

HQ
Librarian 145
Terminator Armor/Storm Shield
Unleash Rage/The Blood Lance
Elite

Sang Priest x3 210
P1 Terminator Armor/Power sword
P2 Storm Bolter
P3 Jump Pack

Terminator Assault Squad 200
Lightning Claws

Troops
Tactical Sqaud 183
5 Extra Marines, Melta Gun, Plasma Cannon, Sgt Storm Bolter

Assault Squad 210
5 Extra Marines, Melta Gun x2

R Assault Sqaud 100

Dedicated Transport
Land Raider Redeemer 250
Multi Melta

Razorback 55
Laser Cannon/Twin Linked Plasma Gun

Fast
Baal 145
Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter

Tactics are as follows. All the termies in the Land Raider. Deeps trike the LR for eveil back object contestment and general chaos/destruction purposes. Deep strike the big 10 man ASS for taking the obj's the termies clear (might CS it depends on opponent). Sit the Tac sqaud on an objective (or two if split into combat sqauds and there are tons of objs) close to deployment zone and hold it. Send the razorback to deal with vehicles and or taking new objectives. The JP SP will go with the 10 man deep strike sqaud. The Storm bolter priest goes with the Tac Sqaud. Baal is for outflanking mayhem.

Thoughts? Ideas?

*edit* Ok this is the list. Removed the chaplain got a baal.

Hey Kilazar,

Nice to see our BA terminator discussion went into something

Just a couple things I'd switch out before you give the list a playtest to see how you like it. I don't see the need for the chaplain in this list if you're running a termi-librarian. Give the Librarian Unleash Rage and you'll have the benefit of re-rolling hits every turn and not just on the charge. With those extra points try to give your tactical squad a razorback ride or switch that tactical squad out for another assault squad. I know combat squading so you have the PC in the backfield and melta/sergeant advancing is a good tactic it just would just help to give that advancing unit a ride to keep up with everyone else at least.

It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye....then you have an eye to play with!

I thought about giving the tac sqaud a razor back, but can't resist the lure of the baal pred outflanking. So far it has been a game breaker for my games. Arriving in the enemy backfield with a good dakka range has been awesome.

I'll see about adding more razorbacks to the list for the combat sqauded tac, as I purchase them. Right now I only have about half of those items lol. I mostly have foot slogger marines with bolters and jump pack marines cause I was purchasing for the older codex a couple years ago.

I really like combined Arms, so not sure I'd be willing to change the tac to an ass. Even if it is the better tactic :(

With the free points you get from removing the chaplain you should have more than enough to purchase a razorback for the tactical squad. You'll have enough points to give it a wicked cool gun too

A tactical squad the way you have it laid out is a good tactic (pun intended) and may work great for you over a normal assault squad (sorry I refuse to shorten words like assault to ass ). You'll have a back field unit providing fire support with the PC and holding an objective at the same time. I see no problem with that.

Edit: Your new list seems pretty solid. I'd personally like to see the LC dropped from the one razorback to help field a second razorback for your tactical squad. But, doing so will be limiting your anti-tank which is hurting a bit in this list. Just a thought.... Good luck!

Yeah I am a bit light on anti tank. Though about changing the plas cannon in the tac to a las cannon to help that out a bit.

I'll play with other options in place of the baal as well to get maybe more tank spank via another razorback or two.
