Well I have an army build that will include 30 flash gits. I figured that since Orks work best with extreme focus on a single battle style, it has to work lol. If not, itll be fun to play as well as build. So I chopped up an AOBR nob and did some test work. I didnt have tissue paper to use on hand, so I used the thinest newspaper I could find. I learned alot already from this first one. The rest Ill follow my own advice, and think before hand, where the trench coat should lay. I didnt on this one, and goofed a bit on the ammo drum. I think it still turned out pretty well for a first attempt. Next time Ill deffinetly use tissue paper, as it conforms and moves a bit easier then paper.

The skin is a test I wanted to try on the nobs and flash gitz. The bulk of my army I used the black base, and left the crevices black for an extreme contrat. It looks good on the boyz, but I wanted the big guys to look better. Anywho Heres some test pics of those as well.

Oh man, awesome work on the skin. What paint colors did you use?

I like the coat on the Flash Git. It's a shame that Flash Gits are a pretty questionable choice as far as fielding them. Good job, though. I'd love to see more.

Its a shame the camera doesnt capture the curves better on that coat. It actually doesnt look half bad on the Git. And yea, there is better units for cheaper then Flash Gitz, which is why Im thinking 30 of them blasting away on things should cause a rather nice dent lol, thats the plan anyways.

The skin, is thus
I black prime my minis, but wanted to try something different on the skin. So I painted the skin sections white for a base. Then did a dark forest green wash (thraka in Citadel paints) over the white. After that I dry brushed citron green(not sure as I dont use GW paints but its almost a lime green) do that a couple times to cover nicely. Then simply brush in the high spots with yellow for a nice contrast. Its not at all time consuming, and looks pretty nice finished. I like it the more I look at it, so this(with some variation for all the Flash Gitz) is pretty much what the boyz will look like. Now I just need to get around to buying all those Nobz boxes and get to convertin

Maybe try rumpling up the paper a bit before putting it on the fig? That will make a bit more felxible, and let you get some creases & wrinkles in there so it looks more clothlike when you get to the painting stage.

Thats a pretty good idear. I made another post where I need help painting the coat as it looks so friggin bland now lol. Like I said, the rest will use tissue paper, as it flows better, and yea Ill deffinetly crumple it up and stuff to give it more character.
