Do units within 6" of a Sanguinary Priest embarked in a transport benefit from his Blood Chalice rule? I ask because a hammer unit coming out of a Land Raider being give Furious Charge and FnP, maybe even on a 2+ from Corbulo is too good not to use if I'm able to.

Note: This is not a how you play it thread. Nor do I want to hear ask the TO. I want rule debate supported by quotes the way members such as Gwar! usually do things

ONly corbulo gets FNP on a 2+, noone else does.

Page 66 i think, from memory, is what you need - you measure to the unit by measuring to the hull.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

Please note what I said "maybe even on a 2+ from Corbulo".

As for the rule itself, that is what I assumed, by raw is a tricky beast at times and dakka generates goo debate on the issue very well.

Corbulo only gives himself a 2+ FNP. Everyone in his bubble is still normal.

And nos has it-pg 66. No contention. Very clear.

Page 66, under embarking, is where you find the rule that allows you to measure to a unit inside a transport.

Corbulos rule allows only HIM to take FnP on a 2+, everyone else has Normal FnP.

Okay, thanks for confirming what I thought and showing me that Corbulo only gives the 2+ to himself.

Hey, I hear that Corbulo only gives himself FNP on a 2+, even if he's in a Space Corridor, or on an Industrial Tower.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Ah, space corridors you say? Who would manufacture these space corridors?

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.
