wizard12 wrote:I don't like how in assult it dosn't calculate your own losses but apart from that its good. We've been talking about making a section where it actually simulates combat. This is however not the intention of the current assault section, and it concentrates on checking the effectiveness of the attacker/defender instead of simulating the entire combat. But as lee said, it could come in a future update, but it'd be its own "simulate" section. Foda_Bett wrote:Right now the site seems to hate my phone. I am unable to change any of the text based controls such as "number of shots." Also a way to damage vehicles would be nice. Which phone? It worked with all phones I've tested, granted I didn't have access to try it on an iPhone. A way to damage vehicles? Could you elaborate??

So far we've been concentrating on 40k, however if you really want a fantasy calculator you can download the 'old' HAMulator as it has basic fantasy support Automatically Appended Next Post: Foda_Bett wrote:I'm using an HTC Pure (aka Diamond 2).
For vehicle damage I mean like odds of destroying based upon strength vs armor value, etc..
You mean like, the shooting vs vehicles / assaulting vs vehicle section that already exist ? Or what?
I'll look into the HTC problem.

Maelstrom808 wrote:I suggest adding more options for rerolling misses. For example a lot of nid models reroll ones, but not all misses
As there are many different armies with their own codex and special rules, its impossible to get all features added from all of them. So for the release we tried to add as many core rulebook options as possible as most special rules are just different versions of them. So it may come in an update at a later stage.
For example master crafted could be used as :
Add a new group with the same stats, remove one shot from the first group, add ONE shot to the other group and make the other group reroll theirs.

I'll be bookmarking the program and waiting for updates, potentially good stuff.
In which way do you think it needs fine tuning ? Any browsers it wont work for you? Or just want more features? Or something else?
You gotto remember the amount of armies out there, each with their own special rules. So for the release we just focused on the core rulebook rules.
Additional options will be available in a later stage.

That way, rather than have to save each individual result, you can just dynamically regenerate it from a URL.

Ah. I just realized that you kind of do this already with the "Back" button.
Press the "get url" button to get the URL so that you can regenerate the calculations. Like so

FYI:
It seems to work great using Firefox on a mac, but using Safari it looks like this (the attacker calculations get pushed over into the wounds calculation):
Thanks, I'll look into that asap (downloading safari now...).
I did try the app on opera/firefox/internet explorer/chrome and several mobile phone browsers. Just missed safari, guess it slipped my mind
edit: oops fixed link

That's unfortunately kind of lame. Making a relatively cluttered interface solely for doing some basic multiplication is kind of silly.
You have envelopes and stamps too, why are you on a forum?
Seriously though, did you even try it out before saying that? And after trying you still think its faster to do it on your calculator?
Edit: Fixed the safari problem, will be patched asap.

If it would be possible I'd challenge you on that In the time it takes to tick in the stats for a squad of different outfitted harlequins (for example) some with rending some without, I'm quite sure anyone using the calc could do it faster than you could input it into the calculator.
But if you don't like it, and think you do it faster on a calc, then I wont force you to use it
